Do you write only for Windows or for Unix too?

Or course, software such as streaming or game server must be written in compiled language (C for example) because they require hight performance and low latency. But I can't name it 'web development', because it will be more than just site.

Scripting langs are better for web, I think. They are easier to deploy and support. There is no need to compile them and they are not platform-dependent (in 99% cases, but yes, PHP has some limitations in Windows, such as problems with winsock)
