With delight I read your comments on this website.
Very nice to hear from someone that treasures our native tongue and not resorting to `text talk` or the ubiquitous `lol`.
Being of an age slightly ahead of yourself I still find everyday life interesting,perplexing and often insane.
With ordinary technology I attempt to keep up,not out of pleasure but resignation as to where society is heading.
London. Being I started life in Slough it was once a bright and exciting place. Nowadays I only venture there out of necessity.
Likewise Slough too is a place i have never ventured into in many years.
Do you think Betjeman and `Come friendly bombs` had a point?
My interests are varied,art,books,cultural affairs.
Currently I am attempting to learn Italian,quite slowly.
Travel, ten years in the Armed Forces took me to many corners of the globe.
Civilian life also but mainly centred on Europe.
Hope you might find this worthy of a response. Leading perhaps to a sustainable and platonic correspondence?
