I guess that often happens. you study something that might get you a well paying job, but you soon realise you're not passionate about it and want to do something you actually like. so far I've been studying things I find interesting but probably aren't useful in getting a good job.

how did you end up choosing philosophy?

you're right about people generally having a very vague idea of what philosophers do nowadays. I'm sure it can be very interesting, but the one compulsory course in high school didn't really get to the interesting bits.

I know very little about philosophy. I guess I've never seen the point in it. what do you like about philosophy?
