Hello peeps!

Quite some time ago now I was still living in a small village with my parents and the kids in the village weren't really what I was looking for. Luckily I found some great friends through the internet, which lived far far away on the globe (Japan at first) and I really enjoyed diving into their culture, food, language, hobbies, you know, their life basically. After a while more connections to more countries were established and we even exchanged some small items, it was a lot of fun.

But as life went on, people and interests changed and so most of those connections are now cut unfortunately.

So before the new years starts (at least as I'm writing this), I try to reestablish some of those connections and try to find some others as well maybe.

So about me: I'm a 34 years old guy from Germany working in IT and currently struggling to write my bachelor thesis for Scandinavian studies and historical linguistics. I started to study a second time, because I was always interested in languages and how they work and I strongly believe that knowing a language is key to the culture of its speakers, not by traveling there and speaking english. I love to cook, travel, read, watch movies, playing games and as you may noticed by now, learning languages, about cultures and how to cook stuff.

Since I already had some experience with some countries and want to rebuild a connection to there I would like to provide a priority list. Which doesn't mean, that you can't contact me, just that I'd like to have penpals from those countries especially.

If an item has a * attached, I would also like to improve my language skills with you or (re)learn your language.

- China*
- Korea*
- Japan*
- Norway*
- Finland*
- Faroe Islands(*)
- Vietnam
- Mongolia
- Ukraine

So guys and gals, happy new year and lets have some penpal-fun in 2022.

German learners from Ukraine and Italy: I'd like to exchange calenders in your language and send back a German one. I like to learn the names of days and months with that and have something nice to look at. Would love to have a wall calendar and one for the desk , so one in Italian, one in ukrainian. If you're interested drop me a line
