I'm liking the diversity of languages you speak and within your own country.

Yet, like Noam Chomsky, I detest the global destruction of cultural richness (in nationhood), those long localized traditions of thought in language, destroyed by institutions of education, mainstream discourse, the 'national' language etc. and all for the levelling of everything towards one lingua franca.

A similar, but legal, levelling occurred with English Common Law under Henry II.
