funny :-) ... three of four of your books I also have read ... I might have been to young when I read "books of blood" as I enjoyed them but I can't say they are the best work by Barker (obviously just according to my perspective of my younger self). yes, I agree, even though the bad translated title "the metamorphosis", the book is a little work art, and last but not least, this jewel called "flowers for algernon" ... when mr keyes went to one science fiction convection, they asked him how did he manage to write such a story, and he answered: "no idea, if you figure out, tell me so I can bottle it and sell it" ... regards from Catalonia, jordi
