**I will be at Sibiu County from March 6-30 for a farming exchange.
I am originally from Hong Kong and have lived in North America for over a decade. I am a native Cantonese speaker, and I can also speak and understand Mandarin.
I am very passionate about history and eager to learn more about different languages and cultures worldwide. I am particularly interested in learning about Turkic Peoples across the Euroasia landmass. Currently, the ethnic group that I spend most of my free time researching on is the Crimean Tatars. I find them to be truly interesting people with a complicated past.
While I have a bachelor's degree in archaeology, I am currently a student in horticulture and will be working for a specialty landscape company that does green roofs and living walls. I also find it fulfilling to produce organic food as a part of providing food for my community.
My biggest dream is to be able to do archaeology near the Black Sea Region. I particularly want to live close to a Crimean Tatar or Nogai enclave so I can learn their language and traditions from their elders.
Requests
In general, language/cultural/idea exchange.
Would be great to meet a native Qirimlar from Crimea orTatar from Romania; or Nogai from Russia.
If things work out, it will be great if I can meet someone I can develop a serious relationship. But I am not expecting much and will just go with the flow.
Language Exchange Requests
German, Crimean Tatar/Qirimli.
