I'm 69, just noticed that my profile said I was looking for flirting and romance, so I changed it. I am NOT looking for a new partner, a girlfriend, a romance or anything like that, it would be great if that happened, but anyway. I have two grown sons from my first marriage, three wonderful grandsons and l two young daughters with my second wife, Yes, I'm a bit beat up and rusty in places, but what the heck. I don't consider myself old, but classic. I'm retired from the state government, where I cared for developmentally disabled adults in group homes. I'm now working part time t the local Head Start, I don't need the money but enjoy staying busy. I'm a former volunteer Emergency Medical Technician on our small town emergency squad, part of the fire department and a former volunteer auxiliary patrolman with the NYPD. I'm just here looking for some nice normal or even semi-normal folks to talk to on line. NOT looking for money, cyber, naked pictures of anyone etc. I enjoy talking about anything and everything, big and small. I don't care about your race, age, handicaps, what country your family came from, how much money you have (or don't) etc. I keep seeing in peoples listings that they want the same things I do and don't so I'm hoping to hear from a few of you. If you think you'll be able to get money out of me, don't bother, others have tried and failed, you will too. Your scams are amusing though, let's see, you're a 25 year old (using a stock photo of some young girl in a bikini of course) and you've fallen in love with me as soon as you saw my photo, or felt 'a love connection', need money for school, or for an airline ticket to come visit me, maybe you have several million dollars and want me to be your administrator (the most recent one). Save us both the effort, leave me alone. I'm just going to Block you anyway. Oh, I almost never look at my Wall, so if you'd like to get in touch send me a message. I'm not ignoring you if you post there, but as I said I forget to check it. Guess that's it.

I don't have a lot of requests, but my biggee is honesty. I don't judge people so please don't write me with some fantastic story trying to impress me. Sooner or later, the truth will come out anyway. Just be yourself. And PLEASE don't ask for money. I don't have any to give away. Also, no messages from women in the Third World telling me they read my profile and think we have a 'love connection' etc. These mails are usually deleted and blocked without any kind of a reply so don't waste your time or mine. Now and then though just for fun I will string you along because you think I'm just some gullible old guy, so I'll play you like I've done to other scammers in the past. Do you really think I'm going to fall for your BS and send you money for 'airfare to come here and meet me in person'? Good luck with that! Move on and look for some other sucker.

I enjoy a quiet life, and trying to stay in touch with folks on line. I also enjoy ghost stories, the place I most recently worked before I retired, an old TB hospital, was haunted as was an office building where I did security many years ago. As a Civil War reenactor I went to Gettysburg many times and had several experiences out on the battlefield. I gave up drinking years ago so I don't hang out in bars anymore, one bad habit gone anyway, two if you count cigarettes! I also enjoy genealogy and history.

50s & 60s rock, older C&W, not that 'rockabilly' trash they're putting out now though, any other stuff that has a decent sound to it. Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra etc.

Blazing Saddles or almost any Mel Brooks movies, also Gettysburg, and the old B&W classics. I'll watch anything that has Jimmy Cagney, Humphrey Bogart or John Wayne in it!
