I realize the following may be a bit FIRM or BRISK sounding...but I have learned to spot scammers and I have been approached a GREAT DEAL by them.  I have learned not to be nice with scammers.  However, I am (as a rule) a Southern lady, born and bred in the South.  Though I am 65, I still say Ma'am and Sir to bosses, older folks, people I just met.  I believe in Southern hospitality to my very bones.  I love hosting visitors to my amazing part of the country.  Forgive me if I seem a bit difficult, but I also spent 40 plus years working in prisons, Youth Court, Child Abuse and Neglect.  Too long dealing with the seedy side of life does make one's poop meter ring quite loudly.  Just looking for Friends.  Not interested in Love, don't need a relationship.  Don't need cybersex, sexual pix....Just want to chat with people, make friends.  No muss, no fuss.  If you need money, PLEASE pass me by!! if you need someone to help with mailing or shipping items, PLEASE pass me by.   So it is true, I seek friends only.  I find males usually easier to talk to, certainly easier to work with.  My own sex is a puzzle to me often.  But I am straightforward.  I won't lie to you to make you feel better, I don't want lies from you either.  I like getting a male point of view...I like people who shoot straight, no shilly shally.  What you tell me today as truth should still be truth next week, month, or year.  And since I do not seek love or sex, truth should be very easy to come by.

Again, what follows may seem harsh, but what I want is quite simple....a point of view....a truthful point of view on a variety of topics.  I do not want to waste time getting rid of scammers.  I am quite good at spotting them, and don't appreciate having my time wasted.  Since I don't want love or sex, honesty should be very easy to come by.  want penpals 60-75 (so we have things in common), would love from the UK but anywhere will do.  Not looking for love, don't need a commitment, don't need your money, and am not giving away any of mine.
  I am NOT looking for cybersex, Skype sex, an online affair.  Never ask for money, and I will provide the same courtesy.  I will never ask you to ship items, mail items. And I would like that same courtesy.
Again, Southern born and raised.  My momma taught me to be polite, and I AM that.  But politeness is tempered with being a straight shooter.  All I ask is the same.  I've spent 40 plus years dealing with the worst of society and it taught me to be honest and forthright and to PRIZE that above all else in others.

Wouldn't mind a BIT of help with Spanish.  Studied for 4 years over 30 years ago.  Have done the Spanish language course online.  And I watch a great deal of Spanish language TV (with subtitles to assist).  But over the decades, I have not had much practice and I am VERY rusty.

Reading, travel, antiques, swimming. Now Retired and working in an antique shop in my small coastal village on the Gulf Of Mexico.  Love anything to do with true crime and serial killers.

Classic Rock and Roll....Aerosmith, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Black Sabbath, and classical (especially Mozart) also love Chopin, Debussey, Grieg, and Opera (especially Pavarotti singing Puccinii),also Maria Callas singing Madame Butterfly,  Native American flutes, also enjoy folk, some country, some jazz.

Field of Dreams, Patton, Gone With the Wind, The Green Mile, Saving Private Ryan, the Bourne trilogy, the Five People You Meet in Heaven. enjoyed the Terminator series.

no longer watch regular TV.  Have Hulu, Prime, and Netflix.  Varied shows, movies.

prefer history mostly....non fiction...right now I am reading about the multiple attempts made to save the Russian royal family....attempts which, sadly, failed.  But I do read occasional fiction....King, Koonz, Grisham.  Also LOVE true crime....serial killers.
