"Silver Age" is the name of the period of development of Russian literature which was at the beginning of XX century and in time frames coincided with modernism period. In Europe this period is called "fin de siècle". In Russian literature the biggest importance at that time was poetry with such names as Akhmatova, Gumilev, Mayakovsky many more.
