I am a former mathematician, retired for health reasons.

Deep, meaningful conversations. I am interested in topics such as religions, philosophy, mathematics and science fiction, but I am open to other topics as well. I am also interested in your day-to-day life, if telling about it is spiced with thoughtful commentary.

I don't like chatting with one-liner messages and prefer longer messages every couple of days.

Both Platonic and non-Platonic friends are welcome.

- Assisting in training gifted teenagers for math contests. (I even get paid a little for this.)
- Watching films when I am too tired to do anything meaningful.
- Drinking espresso.
- Making puns (in Finnish, I am quite skilled in this).
- Playing traditional board games such as go, hex and othello, mostly online.
- Playing petanque, croquet, table shuffleboard and miniature golf.

Heavy metal, punk, 3rd wave ska. Lately I have been listening to some African pop music with complex rhythm patterns.

Supernatural horror, such as The Omen. Lately I have found an indie horror film channel on YouTube.

I do not watch TV shows. Actually, Black Mirror is a science fiction show that's worth watching.
