Hello my friend. In America, the main language is English. However, there are people from virtually every country here. We have a lot of immigrants who come here to work and improve their lives. I live in the state that borders Mexico, so my city has a lot of Mexican people. We also have one of the largest Vietnamese populations in America, and lots of Indian people, as well as people from many countries in Africa. So you will hear a lot of different languages from the immigrants, but they are all expected to learn English. Also, in the state just east of me, they are mixed with French and speak Creole (the same language as Haiti).
