I was last in Canada four years ago but between 2004 and 2008 I made many journeys into Canada from USA, last many months at a time. The best journey was from Vancouver through to Whitehorse in Yukon, close to Alaska. If stunning scenery and wildlife interest you then Yukon is the place to go. Be aware that the Sun does not set until about midnight at this time of year. Since 2009 I have been mostly in Europe and Asia so Canada will have to wait for a little while longer. But one seldom tires of Canada, I mean, take a look at the map - it is so boundless.

But if you have time take a ride across Manitoba and Saskatchewan; the prairie, spread across vast expanses of land, is a real eye-opener.

Which part of Canada.

Quebec city is... well it is a very charming little place. I would say that a visit to Quebec city contrasts well after a stop in Montreal. I hiked around Canada a few times and these two places make an interesting combination.
