You are right.
Because we are human being, we communicate, and we dream ... For many reasons, dreaming became less priorities than other things. We are focus on what we have to do than dreaming.

Your mom is amazing too! Somehow kids in our country do not know how to dream including me, how sad it is. Because we have not been taught how to dream , or imagine, we don't know how to let us be free when the time is given. To dream something, I needed to know where I need to start from. All I have learned about is answers for tests. Many things, I have not had chances to look, learn, and feel. So, I started reading :)

Julie, I like that you spend much time on reading and writing. I am a poor person to organize my thoughts, and I am not good to explode ideas because I have not been taught to think critically. All my education in the past required me to memorize answers to get higher scores on tests. I have tried to read books, but I am sure I have not read many books yet. :(
