I’m a doctor in jobless humanities (history), finished my degree on June 2024 and now working as a researcher in a social sciences research institution in China.

I’m here mainly to practice my written/speaking English for my work needs, also for fun haha. During these years learning English has become a daily habit of mine actually.

Of course any kinds of chats are welcomed here. At the same time, I’m looking forward to meet someone interesting and funny to share nice movies, series and music.

I like dogs, and had a border collie named meatball who passed away. I do miss her everyday. It will be nice if you can show me your pets.

Emm what kind of person I am?
I think I’m a childish idealistic introvert, with a weird sense of humor and oversensitive personality.
I’m a snowflake and I get heartbroken easily haha.
Sometimes I overthink a lot, and make myself tangled even swallowed by insecurities.
Sometimes I’m the pit myself.
Now hope it hasn’t scared you, actually not that bad anyway.
btw I’m a pretty solitary individual so usually I just spend time with myself, and I do enjoy it. I don’t have many friends in my life but I really appreciate those lovely people who choose to be around me.
Finally, ISTJ if it matters.

What do I want?
I want to meet like-minded people and and have long-term consistent friendships. It’s been hard for me to step out of my comfort zone and open myself in real life, maybe I can try it online first.
