I don't see anything weird about it. A lot of Chinese and Taiwanese probably feel the same way. Still, I guess I'd better learn it if I want to do business in China someday. Have you ever been to mainland China?

Oh. We're learning simplified in class. The professor does teach some traditional characters, but we focus on the simplified characters because most of us hope to do business with China after school. Still, I wouldn't pass up a chance to go to Taiwan. Or China, for that matter.
