Hi everyone, my name is Karin, I'm 48, from the Netherlands, where I live together with my rescue cats in the beautiful city Utrecht. I've been away from penpalling for several years, for several reasons. I'm really happy how everything developed last year and that I found my way back to penpalling. I love my work which is in psychiatry, for many years this was my identity, but I discovered I'm so much more than that. I decided to change my job as regular team member for work as substitute so I wont get too much involved. I think my own experiences in mental health care make me a great social worker but it's my weak spot the same time. I also have much more freedom for other things this way. I've always had a strong sense of justice, let's say I have inherited my grandparents gens, am a convinced vegan and this mix has led me to become a street activist for animal rights. It's become an important part of who I am. I'm a down to earth spiritual person, so for me it's important to keep developing myself. Furthermore I like to cook, to read, and to go to concerts and festivals. For me long deep conversations are important in every sort of relationship, so also in my letters. Due to my busy life I'm not a very fast replier but you sure have a faithful friend in me.
