Lakergregg 's notes
YAY! Movie Review time.

One of the things I enjoy most are writing notes that are movie reviews.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm no movie expert.
I'm certainly not that guy who watches a movie 50 times to memorize the dialogue in the hope that somewhere down the line it'll help to make me seem cool to someone, anyone, just once.HAHA!
Tonight I watched "SUNSHINE CLEANING" starring AMY ADAMS as
Rose a single mom who works as a house cleaner.
You probably remember Amy Adams from roles such as
Giselle in ENCHANTED
or as
Susan in TALLADEGA NIGHTS THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY
or maybe
Sister James the young nun in DOUBT.
She's a talented actress whom I predicted a few years ago will someday win an Academy Award and truth be told is also a sexy little Redhead.
This movie co-starred EMILY BLUNT...
**********************WRITER'S WARNING********************
I'm about to use foul language here so do whatever you feel you must to prepare yourself.

...WHO THE FUCK IS EMILY BLUNT?!!!
I'll tell you who she is. One very fine ass looking woman that's who she is!
I'm pretty sure I'd heard the name before but I never had seen any of her films which include.
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA
never saw it
THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB
I'm pretty sure the title alone will keep me from ever seeing this film
THE YOUNG VICTORIA
never saw it
And the newly released THE WOLFMAN
which I'm pretty sure the title alone guarantees I will see this film.HAHA!
While looking her up I learned she is also English which once again proves my love for British actresses, even ones not named KATE.
And, for all you fans of the American version of the television show
THE OFFICE, you know the guy that plays Jim?
Yeah, she's engaged to that guy.
Somebody likes that dude.
In this film she plays Norah younger sister of Rose who lives with their dad and can't hold a job.
Their father is played by the terrific actor ALAN ARKIN who'll you'll have too GOOGLE or WIKI on your own time because his film roles are too many for me to name here.
But you may remember him as the Grandpa in LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE.
So after Rose's son is disciplined in school and the school administrator recommends Rose have him placed on medication she pulls him from school.
Everyone in the family denies the kid has any problems and believe that he is actually too intelligent if anything.
Which had me thinking that Hitler and Mussolini's moms probably thought the same about their son's.
Now, needing money to put her kid into a private school Rose remember's something the guy she's screwing, Mac a married cop whom she dated in high school, told her about. Crime scene cleanup which pays very well.
So Rose enlist the service of her sister Norah to join her in their own cleaning service in which they cleanup after people have killed themselves or suffered otherwise messy deaths.
All goes well until Rose is confronted by her lover's wife and Norah burns down a house during a cleanup.
Uninsured, they lose the business and are estranged for awhile until they share a warm memory of their mom who killed herself years before when the two were very young girls.
Remarkably enough this movie did not make me want to kill myself.
It was actually pretty entertaing and c'mon it starred two babes who were still looking real good even though their character's were let's say somewhat dressed down.
On a scale of 0 to 4 GREGGIES, 0 being absolute crap and 4 being a classic
I give SUNSHINE CLEANING...2 GREGGIES.
It was an entertaining movie that moved along quickly except for a moment or two, however the movie wasn't really about anything.
I guess the moms suicide was the background of the movie but while one daughter seemed to have been bothered somewhat by it the other seemed traumatized by it and the dad never even mentioned it once in the film.
As for the young son, Oscar, I'm not really sure if he was as much smart as he was annoying and a little creepy.
Oh and there was a one armed guy named Winston who befriended the two sister's and Oscar and whom I thought was going to turn out to be a pedaphile which would have totally bummed me out because I hate movies like that.
He wasn't.
Thank G-d, I remember how disappointed and surprised I was the moment I realized Brokeback Mountain wasn't just about two buddies who fish together.
AWK-WARD!!
