The art of conversation...how sad it is in todays society that everyday we go about our daily routines  and never stop to say hello to people we have probably seen many times,i watch people on there mobiles and i pods on trains and buses ,isolating themselves from each other, from people just a few feet away that they could say hello and get to know, whats happend to us today ? stuck behind our gaming machines and mobiles......i live in the countryside and the art of conversation in the older generation is still there ,to strike up a conversation with someone you have never seen before,, towns and cities seem to be very different ...

sadly, we have become selfish and have retreated into our own little world...with all the technology out there now days...no one uses a phone to talk to anyone any more...quite sad.

When i was young we got together with friends very often, then such meetings became rare, then died about complitely.... Nobody come nobody call. But new friend go, stay for a while and disappear. But still like alive communication, jst not only talk, but look into eyes, touch hends. But most of all i am worry about my children - speak only by Internet, meet firned only there. I cant say that communication in Internet -it is bad, but sure it cant replace WHOLE communication.

i guess it's great to be able and notice such things and know what it's best in life and treasure that within. thanks for sharing these thoughts with us. wish i could read more like these on the net or hear them around. but this rarely happens.

It is true. We are failing each other miserably. But here we have connected without ever having met- I wish you a very good day! ~Namaste~

Friends Without Faces by Thomas Teague We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens, We all have to wonder, what this possibly means. With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze, Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze. We chat with each other, we type all our woes, Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes. We wait for somebody, to type out our name, We want recognition, but it is always the same. We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt, In IMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt. We do form friendships - but - why we don't know, But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow. Why is it on screen, we can be so bold, Telling our secrets, that have never been told. Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind, With those we can't see, as though we were blind. The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell. We all have our problems, and need someone to tell. We can't tell "real" people, but tell someone we must, So we turn to the 'puter, and to those we can trust. Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains, They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names.
