Front-end Developer

InterPals is seeking a highly experienced, talented and passionate full-time front-end and UX developer for a remote position with flexible hours. We’re looking for a creative talent who enjoys learning new techniques, writing clean cross-browser compatible code, and loves beautifully, functional web sites. If you like graphical design, there will be opportunities to use your Photoshop/Illustrator skills, but your focus will primarily be Javascript, CSS and HTML, as well as continually improving the user experience across the site.

The user base is very enthusiastic, which makes development exciting: millions of people enjoy using the service. Our remote team is currently spread across Moscow, Kiev, Lviv and Seattle.

Our goals

We are now working on a new site design. Your will realize this design in HTML/CSS/JS, tweaking it as necessary and integrate it with our backend. Later, you will add the functionality for new features.

You should be very comfortable and interested in

• Realizing a design in HTML/CSS/JS from Axure/Photoshop prototypes
• Writing and optimizing production code for fastest page loading and rendering
• Writing clean, maintainable code
• Rapid development / prototyping of front-end HTML/CSS/JS
• Debugging cross-browser compatibility issues
• Design usability, HCI/UI/UX best practices
• Photoshop for design sketching, manipulation, chopping up, etc

You should also have

• Thorough knowledge of Javascript (not just jQuery), Javascript MVC frameworks and writing async js code
• Working knowledge of LESS/SASS, etc.
• Intermediate English or higher
• Excellent communication skills; ability to take initiative and self-start
