Geia sas, Giani! I am a teacher of Ancient Greek and I am studying Modern Greek...It is not so easy to me, as you might think about....no way! I am Spanish, but I studied my University degree in France...I can also speak Portuguese...I studied Latin and the romanic Languages are very easy....My English is not so good, though...but I can make myself understand whitout any problems....I do master French, and I am reading you are studying French, as well. I love Litterature, worldwide Litterature...of course, I'm specialized in Ancient Greek Litterature. I know some modern Greek writers and poets, I like very much Kazantzakis, Kiki Dimoula, and many others....but I must admit that I admire so much the great Kavafis and his old Alexandria. Kavafis kept on writing about Ancient Greece and Byzantium Empire....the Greek civilization! I know so many ancient Greek topics are no more retaken in modern poetry...please, tell me it's not true! It's your past, it's Western Past...a Past that is renewing ever and ever again. It's OUR European common cultural heritage! Well, that's just my opinion....If you are interested in contacting me and discussing about many common topics in Greek and French, please, write me right in here...PS....My name is Josep, I'm not a native Portuguese, but I can help you out in Portuguese (theEuropean one; I mean the pronounciation and some other differences between Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese)....My French is academic, but also colloquial, the allday French.....I was born in Northern Spain at the Spanish-French border. My family lives still in France. I work in Spain, yes...but I am allways connected with my family, my French friends, the French reality...Excuse me, please, my English is not very academic...Geia,geia....ta leme, elpizw! I read at your profile you are looking for flirting and romance ( That's not what I'm looking for, but our epistolar relationship can be extremely interesting...I guess so!)
Being a poet would you mind briefly writing about this marvelous sphere called earth/globe; ours has blue skies most of the times
Hello good afternoon and how are you
Hello from the US.
Morning, hope things are well in Greece.
You say you are involved with poetry.
Do you write poetry?
I am making conversation here btw.
I am originally from Crete but have been away since I was very young.
My Greek is good but having read some Greek poetry I realised I've missed the tone of Greek creative expression.
You are welcome to respond to this message or not :)
Stay safe
