I went through a bunch of the Hammer's Slammers stories a long time ago. And I've read a few others, but I honestly don't remember all of them. They were kinda like candy -- fun but not filling. (Not in a bad way, mind you.)

He led me to the Tor publishing site, which has a whole lotta other books in the genre available free. That got me reading the Honor Harrington series, for example.

David Drake? The military sci-fi, "Hammers Slammers" guy? (blink blink) I don't see a lot of folks mention him. Wow. Cool are those beans!
