Many people have a bad opinion on increasing the amount of hours worked every week.

But if we all get paid hourly in an healthy environment with a hierarchy that really cares about workers and provides the correct equipment / suppor, many people would fight to get more hours.

I have been working 35h a week in bad companies in France and felt like every minute was an eternity

And I have been working 45h a week with peak at 50h a week in an environment that can be really tiring for the mind (interlinguistic non stop, customer services, constant noise because of the crowds, cold of Lapland etc..) and feel way better, healthier and more motivated than all my previous works.

If you read that far and have some examples in your life, I would really like to know if for you the daily amount of hours shouldn't be increased under any circumstances or if you feel that in an healthy environment with the opportunity to increase your own income due to the raise of hours seem more acceptable.

If you're passive you'll be seen as weak.
If you're too implicated you'll be seen as toxic.
If you're none of those you'll be seen as boring.

You won't please anyone whatever you pretend to do, so at least be yourself and be happy. And who knows, maybe you'll find someone on the way who likes you for who you truly are.

Are you who you are because of your self introspection?

Or because of your education / society standards ?

You who are reading this, don't put too much pressure on yourself.

I know you have high expectations in your own life, I know you are strong enough to reach it.

But sometimes it's better to take a bit more time to do it and be happy than reaching it quick and not being able to enjoy it.

Have a good life !
