My Smartie has cancer, too. But at the moment she has problems with her lung, so can't do a surgery. :(
And one month ago I had to euthanize Pepsi. She had cancer in her head. On the way to the vet she bleeded out of her nose and eyes (real blood, not the secretion). That was so horrible :(

I have ten girls :) They're between one and two years old. I have rats for 1 1/2 years. It's not pretty long, but I loved them since I was a little girl. I was never allowed to get some :D
At the moment I have three cages and the cage of my "grandmothers" are one floor lower.. One of this three rats has a chronic cold and the weather was too much for her. The last weeks were very cold in Germany, so there's no problem with the temperature. :)
But when it's really hot I use wet towels in my room. They cool it a bit down.
Which gender has your rats? And how old are they? :)

Nice to see somebody who loves rats as much as I do :)
