Barcelona its a very turistic city, u have all what u want in summer, Beach, partys, weather, good girls and a lot of choses to visit.
Its not a dangerous but if u are a forest probably the cabbies/taxmens, party zones, bars, restaurants they will try lie you.
Barcelona its not a dangerous city but its very multicultural, you need avoid the "Bad zones". *La mina*/*La verneda*/ * El rabal* in this zones expecially in the night are a little dangerous for forests and for me. I didnt go to Rome for know it how are his Pickpockets and i cant comparate.
I will try to explain you what you can do in summer on Barcelona.
You can visit Sagrada Familia, Ramblas, Casa Batllo, Pedrera (a lot of importants monuments by Antonio Gaudi), Plaza Catalu
