I'm Erik and I’m here to work on my Spanish and make new friends

I'm learning Spanish at the moment and would like to meet Spanish-speakers to practice with or just get to know. In general I like meeting people from abroad and making friends, some of my best friends I’ve met traveling and I hope to do some more in the future. I’d be thrilled to help anyone with English even if they aren’t a speaker of my target language.

Hobbies & Interests

weight lifting, woodcarving, doing all sorts of things in the outdoors, traveling, singing, learning about architecture, history, and linguistics and discussing film and literature

Favorite Music

I like blues, folk, classical, black metal, electronic music, and most rock genres.

Favorite Movies

Definitely a big Ingmar Bergman and Woody Allen guy. I like all sorts of movies

Favorite TV Shows

Not entirely sure why but when I think about shows I like I just think of the older scifi series like Stargate or Farscape and stuff like that. There’s other stuff I like but it’s just what pops into my head first so I suppose I must really like them.

Favorite Books

My favorite fiction authors would probably be Knut Hamsun and E.M. Forster. Overall I haven’t been reading much lately, but I am currently working on Huizinga’s The Autumn of the Middle Ages
