really? I've bought a beautiful wooden box from Poland. I think the demands for craftsmen in Japan is higher. Now days more people go to college to try to get a job at a large company and very few want to be craftsmen while old people want young apprentices to keep our traditions. If you ever get a chance to visit Toyama prefecture, try going to Inami, that's where I took the picture from but there are many shops like that. It was really inspiring.
you still live in Tokyo? we should've contacted earlier. I was in Tokyo for a week last November. Are you going to Fuji Rock festival this summer? It's not on your list, but nine inch nails will be there. their show is always the best.
