There is a place
Miles above the sky
So far that sound cannot reach
Pain can not touch

There is silence
Dimly lit, the shadows have almost faded
But even if they aren’t
They will not harm you

There is distance
Earth feels so small
Insignificant
Like something from a dream

There is safety
I make my rest here miles above the sky
Sat on a blanket in my garden
Untouchable

As I watch the world move on

Protecting from a distance
All the things I need protection from.
