I don't know why I never got around to writing to you back then . . . probably got too busy with work and the house . . . I think we have a lot in common . . . sure won't hurt to try, will it . .. and as you say, we're only a few hours apart, so if all goes well, we can eventually visit . . .

You are about to be retiring before to long. Know that you will enjoy it once you get used to not having to keep to a schedule. It is going to be nice that you are going to be able to do what you are wanting to do.
Cold here and getting more snow in the future. You are probable as cold as we are sine it is only a few hours from each other.

Hi, MaryAmanda, it was nice to get such a lovely message from you. I will certainly be writing back soon, when I get a few free minutes to catch my breath. Between work and home, it's been a very busy time the past couple of months.

Nice to hear from you. I have 2 more weeks to work at myjob then I will be retired. There has been so many things to take care of before then. Think I am remembering everything to do.
I have a shi-tsu/ chihauhau, a chihauhau and a pomeranian/chihauhau. The pom is in bad health now. She is 15 with a bad heart so I will be glad to be home with her more. I worry about her. She has been sick this weekend but is doing a little better. May take her to vet tomorrow.
I work the night shift so have missed many of the shows I used to watch. Will be like watching brand new programs.
It is getting colder here now so won't be long and the winter snows will be coming. It will be nice to sit inside for a change and watch the snowfall instead of trying to drive home on the highways with the bad travel.
I have 3 daughters all with families. One is on the east coast so haven't seen her for a long time but the other two live in the city. Have 10 grandchildren and have 4 great frandchildren with another due around Christmas.
Well I am hoping we can become good friends. Maybe we can do email too. I have two via snail mail too as I like to write letters also.
