Food coma-induced thoughts.
With the generation of our grandparents dead, indicatively the indivuals at the turn of WWII, Christmas will become a completely empty consumerist celebration akin to a Valentine's Day in the snow. People of my generation will be left with memories of a family warmth they have been unable to recreate, a lingering desire for unfulfilled human contact that advertisements and the entertainment industry will exploit ad hoc.
Or perhaps I am too optimistic; we are already living this scenario.
