Salaam Maria, I enjoyed reading all about you here. You seem like a nice woman and I'll be glad to have you as a Penpal or Penfriend whatever, and also learn more of your language and country. Thanks

Hi Chris
Hope you are over your virus by now and I can imagine how it can effect you.

How is the fire fallout fecting you now? I have friends who live on Vancouver Island and they have been experiencing it too.
I'll look forward to an email from you when you have time.
You didn't tell me if you are on Facebook in case you want to befriend me there as well.
I am battling a cold at the moment, feel I could have caught it when I spent several hours in Hospital last week but who knows???
Hope you week is going well

Hi Maria, I am finally getting back onto the computer after being laid low with a nasty virus. The Doc told me I'd have to ride it out and I would be miserable. She wasn't kidding. Feeling somewhat better now and hoping to be better soon. I am also going to Physio for a bad shoulder - saw her today and she said I've made progress.
i am still behind but I'm going to write letters everyday til I'm caught up! I've taken your email address and hopefully this weekend I can get a letter off. We are suffering very bad smoke from some really large forest fires so if the air here is as bad as it was today we might head somewhere where the air is cleaner. **** is having a difficult time breathing and sleeping.
Will close for now and I will try for that letter this weekend.
Hope you're well and enjoying life. Take care.

Hi Chris. I was 74 in April so yes, where does the time go?? I am retired, divorced but have a partner although we don't live together which seems to suit us both. I have a son & a daughter. My son lives in Perth & has 4 boys. My daughter in the UK has one son who has a little boy so I am a great Grandmother. I will give you my email address if that would be an easier way for us to be in contact. It's [email protected]
Are you on facebook?? I am mainly on there for messages & chats but don't post what I have had for breakfast!!!!!! Yes, I think I have read most of Bryce Courtenay's books. I am an avid reader and am never without a book.Would love to hear from you again when you have a moment. My partner Brian & I are off for a short trip down south next week. hopefully to get in a bit of cycling. I lived in Vancouver for 10 years & still have very fond memories of your beautiful country.
