It's not really non-stop darkness, just really short days... Like by the end of December it'll start getting dark at around 3pm. So yeah, fun fun :p

I completely agree. You can always wear a few extra layers for the cold, but there isn't anything you can do for the short days. Besides eating bacon. I shouldn't complain though, I know someone in northern Sweden who doesn't see any sunlight at all for about 3 months per year... I don't know how I would deal with that. Badly, probably. I hope things don't get so bleak in Boston.

Cold and dark at the moment, but fortunately we have plenty of beer and bacon to last the winter. Seriously, those are mandatory items if you want to keep your sanity until spring (which comes in May).
