Degree in Math. Worked in scientific computing and arms industry which I left in 1987 for reasons of conscience. Retired from things, like teaching piano and I tried to become a television producer. I came close but ran out of money. I've done a little of just about everything. Settling down now. Active on Twitter, @Unkelfred . I like the person I've become.

Requests

The one thing I've noticed here is the large number of people trying to scam others for money. To these people I say, " Do something positive with your life and stop trying to make others into victims. Some day someone is going to get angry and come after you. Your best security for the future is to build community and make friends, not enemies." In any event, you won't get anything from me. Go away!

Hobbies & Interests

Alternative economics, (I'm very opinionated about that. I'm writing a book about it.), Cycling (year round), gardening (organic), computers, politics, economics, cats, environment, meditation, movies, figure skating, and other things.

Favorite Music

Classical. I taught classical piano. Listen to some jazz, but I don't play that. Pipe organ and good choir music. I do like some Rock & Roll like Pink Floyd, but it has to be very good stuff. Protest songs! Just in April of 2017 I've taken up electric guitar. I don't know yet if I'll be any good at it, but I like the degree of control it gives me over the sound I am making.

Favorite TV Shows

Friends, British comedies...As Time Goes By, Yes Minister, The Vicar of Dibley. But now I don't own a TV and almost never watch it.

Johnathan Livingston Seagull, The Hobbit, Sea of Slaughter by Farley Mowat, Goedel Escher Bach, The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, Alias Grace and a few others.
