Brother, I appreciate the discussion, but let's establish something important first. The Quran teaches us: 'And argue with them in a way that is best' (16:125). My goal isn't to 'win' a debate, but to seek truth and understanding together. When I shared that video, it was to highlight historical context - that young marriages were universally normal across all cultures 1000+ years ago, including Biblical figures.Consider this: if we're going to criticize based on modern standards, then we must apply them equally. Rebecca (Isaac's wife) was likely 3-10 years old according to Biblical chronology. Yet no one calls Abraham's servant or Isaac predators. Why? Because we understand historical context. Either we judge all historical figures by their time periods, or we judge none - but selective criticism reveals bias, not genuine concern. You mentioned Mary being 'virgin' makes it 'totally different' - but how does that logic work? Are you suggesting marrying widows (like most of Prophet Muhammad's wives) indicates something negative, while marrying virgins doesn't? That's honestly backwards reasoning. What's fascinating is that the Quran actually defends Mary's virginity more strongly than Christian sources. The Quran dedicates entire chapters to her honor, calls her 'chosen above all women of the worlds' (3:42), and defends her against accusations. Meanwhile, some early Christian sources questioned her perpetual virginity. Yet you're lecturing me about respecting her? And back to the age topic. In the US, the age of consent was 10-12 in most states until the 1900s. Delaware was 7 until 1895. In 1800s Britain, it was 10-12. Even today, with parental consent, marriage ages vary dramatically worldwide. This wasn't considered 'shameful' - it was survival in harsh climates with short lifespans.Calling Prophet Muhammad a 'cult leader' and 'womanizer' tells me you've never actually studied his life - just consumed hostile propaganda. A man who married a 40-year-old businesswoman and stayed faithful to her for 25 years, then mostly married widows and older women for political alliances, doesn't fit your narrative. But I understand - it's easier to repeat talking points than do actual research... Last this, do you think it's easy to just say about something should be God's words a 'mistake'?.. Christians use the Old Testament to prove Jesus while dismissing its 'mistakes' elsewhere. Who decides what's divine vs. error? Muslims see this as evidence scriptures were altered over time. But honestly, I'd love to have genuine discussions about our faiths - as long as we're seeking truth together and hearing FROM believers themselves, not hostile sources talking ABOUT religions without proof. Both our prophets taught respectful dialogue. If you're interested in calm, honest conversation, I'm here. Peace '
