There are many institutions or personal tutors who can be your mentor for your Chinese study. google it and you will be able to find many.
One of their theory is they gonna use the "Pinyin" thing as alternative way. ,just in case there is no alphabet in Chinese, they gonna teach you every Chinese words' pronunciation by the "pinyin" thing.
