As I'm interested in languages and studying them more and less,I do not think Persian is completely different from Arabic as you say.I agree they do not belong to the same language family,but Persian has been influenced by Arabic to a great extent and you have borrowed lots of words from Arabic.I believe it's due to religion(Islam) but you know better than me you use lots of Arabic words,but yes,with different pronunciation or spelling but here the origin of the word is taken into account.I do not know how the old Persian language was,I feel like it's different from the language you use daily nowadays .You may tell us how your language sounded like in ancient times.By the way,I'm not Arab,but investigating languages due to my career. Iran has lots of things to be known in all aspects.
