Hello, Stranger!  My name is Alyssa and it's a pleasure to meet you!  And because I have this later in my profile but am still receiving many requests for more than friendship, let me say right away that I AM MARRIED AND NOT SEEKING A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP ON HERE.   Thank you!  Now on to the more interesting stuff. ^_^

I have two cute kitties, adore documentaries, and am hoping to return to trail running soon after some time off.  I'm impossibly intrigued by all things sweet, from local and domestic trends to more global facets of the confectionary field, and am fascinated by the indulgences born of sugar-coated creativity!  Forever on the hunt to discover that next sweet revelation, I am as interested in centuries old treats as I am the haute couture and rising stars of the dessert world!  And my obsession comes in handy, because I'm lucky enough to run a confectionary and bakery boutique where I share sweets and their stories with everyone who walks through the door!

I'm always looking for recommendations and fascinating food facts, especially in the sweets category, so feel free to reach out and share your thoughts!  Chatting with fellow foodies is definitely a highlight of my day! ^_^
