Thanks for visiting my site. Physiologists like to think systematically also, though usually about different systems. But there is, after all, really only the one science and the disciplines we divide it into reflect our own human limitations. I blame the fragmentary nature of our education for this and the fact that I seemingly have to visit different libraries in my brain to teach my students or to reconstruct my century farmstead. As to philosophy, a former interest that occupied perhaps 6 years of my thinking, I ended up most appreciating John Stuart MIll for at least trying to take things somewhere, but also for having written a 3 page sentence that really was one continuous thought. It took me 3 days to understand it all together but I felt a better educated person for having done so. My paternal grandmother came from Ireland, signed on to a steamer at 18 when her parents planned to have her marry some fellow over there. I've thought on and off about applying for citizenship. Your profile is refreshingly original, and your taste in entertainment is somewhat eclectic I haven't watched TV if 15 years so I"m not up on that.
