“Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.” – Rumi

“make your last journey
from this strange world
soar for the heights
where there is no more
separation of you and your home

God has created
your wings not to be dormant
as long as you are alive
you must try more and more
to use your wings to show you’re alive”

An ocean does not need water, because it already has plenty of it.
A wealthy man does not need money, because he already has plenty of it.
People do not need love, because they already have plenty of it.
No!
We do need mental closeness and companionship since loneliness is too difficult for humans to bear. Companionship and interaction is actually required to ensure that our brains remain efficient and productive.

Love is an abstract concept that comprises of a) desire for both closeness and companionship - physical and mental, b) profound attachment to the person(s) so desired.
The physical desire of closeness and companionship and the attachment bit can be easily avoided or reduced.
So I guess one cannot live without half love (the companionship and closeness bit) - but one can live easily without full love for sure (the physical and attachment bit).
