About Me
My name is Elara.
My story begins with the salty smell of the sea, where the rocky shores meet the Adriatic. I didn’t grow up in the noise of a big city, but in a small village where the sun rose from the sea every morning and the stars shone brighter than anywhere else in the world. My family were fishermen and storytellers, from them I inherited an unquenchable love for the sea and the ability to hear stories even in silence.
My hair is the color of seaweed, and my eyes sparkle with the turquoise blue of summer storms. My face has been shaped by the sun and the wind, and in my palms I still carry the memory of knitting.
The most defining moment of my life was when I left the village at the age of 18. I didn’t yearn for the hustle and bustle, but for knowledge. I went from the sea to the land and immersed myself in the world of books and art. I studied law, which may seem like a strange choice for a girl from the beach, but I was driven by the injustice of the world and the desire to protect the weak. I now live in the heart of the big city, in a small attic apartment full of plants and old books, but my heart always pulls me to the sea.
Another significant event in my life was my meeting with an elderly piano teacher who lived below my apartment. She taught me that the most beautiful music lies in silence. Many times, after a difficult negotiation, I sit down at my old, worn-out piano and let the melodies wash away the noise of the world. Music is my harbor.
My love life... well, it's like a voyage. There have been storms, there have been gentle breezes. Right now I'm on a quieter stretch, alone, but not lonely. I believe that the soul needs silence to truly be ready for the next deep connection. My independence is my greatest asset, but my heart is always open to deep, honest connections.
That would be me, Elara. A woman who carries the power of the sea and the delicacy of the piano, and who tries to smuggle a little truth and beauty into the world every day.
