I suspect you just haven't seen those most beautiful yet ;-)
Regarding that Kraków is one of the least pleasant Polish cities.. from many others you would have never came back home :P
Both are nice - but Poland nicer of course! I've noticed that many Spaniards coming here fell in love with my country.
